Soccer Game Preview: Lafayette vs. Acadiana

The Lafayette Lions will face off against the Acadiana Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Acadiana took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Lafayette, who comes in off a win.

Lafayette is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They ended the year with a bang, routing New Iberia 6-2 on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Lions needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Acadiana's good fortune finally ran out two weeks ago. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Catholic an easy 4-1 win. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Bears are ranked 11th).

Lafayette's victory bumped their record up to 5-3-4. As for Acadiana, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9-1.
