Baseball Recap: Mt. Vernon Find Success

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Mt. Vernon walked away with it. They skirted past the Westerville Central Warhawks 6-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yellowjackets.

Mt. Vernon's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Caden Thiebert, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. Another was Nolan Hershberger, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Mt. Vernon's win bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Westerville Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.

As of now, neither Mt. Vernon nor the Warhawks have any future games scheduled.
