Soccer Game Preview: Bishop England vs. Bluffton

The Bishop England Battling Bishops will take on the Bluffton Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Bishop England is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Providence Day just ended the team's nine-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 4-1 to the Chargers. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Bishop England struggled afterwards.

Their goal came courtesy of Reese Woodard, who's now up to ten this season.

Meanwhile, Bluffton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to Hilton Head Island. While losing is never fun, Bluffton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 116th, while Hilton Head Island are ranked 28th).

Bishop England's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Bluffton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Bishop England took their victory against Bluffton in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 6-1 score. Do the Battling Bishops have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bobcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
