Willow Canyon had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Desert Edge Scorpions with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-12, 25-14.

Shia Chancellor paced Willow Canyon's offense, picking up nine kills. Chancellor got some help from Keely Blady and her 14 assists. Emory Scogin controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Willow Canyon will have a chance to go back-to-back against Desert Edge: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
