Volleyball Game Preview: Staples Wreckers vs. Ludlowe Falcons

Staples hasn't had much luck against Ludlowe recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wreckers will head out on the road to challenge the Falcons at 4:00 p.m.

On Monday, Staples came up short against Warde and fell 3-1.

While Staples had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-22, 23-25, 25-21.

Meanwhile, Ludlowe waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Mustangs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted against the Mustangs since October 10, 2020.

Ludlowe took Warde into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The final score came out to 25-23, 21-25, 21-25, 25-13, 15-11.

Ludlowe's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Staples, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Staples couldn't quite get it done against Ludlowe in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Wreckers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
