Basketball Recap: Prospect Piles Up the Points Against Palatine

Prospect had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Palatine Pirates, posting a 68-38 victory. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Allison Linke was her usual excellent self, putting up 20 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists. She has been hot recently, having also posted three or more steals the last three times she's played. Zoe Black was another key player, posting 14 points and four steals.

The win made it two in a row for Prospect and bumps their season record up to 26-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.5 points. As for Palatine, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-17 record this season.

Prospect will face off against Hersey at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hersey will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Prospect surely won't give up without a fight. Palatine does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
