Basketball Recap: Andrews Takes a Loss

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 71-16, which was the final score in the Andrews Yellowjackets's tilt against the Berkeley Stags on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 148th, while the Stags are ranked 28th).

Despite the loss, Andrews still got an impressive performance from Brandon Cumbee, who posted four points.

Andrews' loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Berkeley, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Andrews wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 54-36 victory against Johnsonville on the 13th. As for Berkeley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-44 win against Timberland on the 13th.
