Basketball Recap: Valley Heights Comes Up Short

On Tuesday, the Valley Heights Mustangs were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 62-58 to the Clay Center Tigers.

Valley Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Clay Center, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Heights will take on Clifton-Clyde on Thursday. As for Clay Center, they will face off against Wamego on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
