Softball Recap: Jac-Cen-Del Eagles vs. Milan Indians

Jac-Cen-Del extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 16 on Friday, dropping their season record down to 0-15 in the process. They lost 18-2 to the Milan Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-0 back in April.

Jac-Cen-Del saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savannah Steele, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

As for Milan, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 18-8. Considering they have won 13 matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

On Milan's side, Kayleigh McIntosh made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. McIntosh was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Milan got a massive performance out of Kynadee Bode, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and three RBI. Those two triples gave Bode a new career-high. Mallory Eaglin was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jac-Cen-Del will head out to face off against Southwestern at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Milan, they will venture away from home to square off against Brownstown Central at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
