Baseball Game Preview: Waterloo Tigers vs. Midlakes Screaming Eagles

The Waterloo Tigers will venture away from home to face off against the Midlakes Screaming Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Waterloo will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Wayne, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Eagles 2-1 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Midlakes). They came out on top against Newark by a score of 13-10 on Thursday.

Waterloo's record now sits at 2-5. As for Midlakes, their record is now an identical 2-5.

Waterloo skirted past Midlakes 5-3 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
