Basketball Recap: Tilden Comes Up Short

Tilden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 69-51 fall against the Frank J. Macchiarola Sharks. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 629th, while the Sharks are ranked 309th).

Tilden's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Frank J. Macchiarola, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Tilden will square off against Sunset Park at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils will be up against the HEAT's rather soft defense (which has allowed 64.75 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Frank J. Macchiarola, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Telecommunication Arts Tech at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
