Softball Recap: Rocky Mount Prep Comes Up Short

Rocky Mount Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Southeast Halifax Trojans, falling 25-10. Even if the Jaguars couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Rocky Mount Prep now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Southeast Halifax, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2.

While Rocky Mount Prep had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
