Basketball Recap: Hoosac Valley Comes Up Short

Hoosac Valley lost against Monument Mountain back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hoosac Valley Hurricanes took a 67-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monument Mountain Spartans. The Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Hoosac Valley saw an underclassman step up: freshman Tre Moynihan posted 22 points.

Hoosac Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Monument Mountain, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Hoosac Valley will venture away from home to face off against Baystate Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monument Mountain, they will face off against Belchertown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
