Soccer Recap: Dunbar Comes Up Short

Dunbar lost against Mariner back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Dunbar Tigers lost 6-0 to the Mariner Tritons. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 493rd, while the Tritons are ranked 22nd).

Dunbar's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Mariner, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dunbar will venture away from home to challenge Lely at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lely will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Dunbar surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mariner, they will head out to take on Riverview Sarasota at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
