Baseball Recap: Riverside Extends Winning Streak to Five

Riverside lost to Scranton Prep back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Vikings came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cavaliers, sneaking past 7-5. The victory was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on five straight.

The team relied heavily on Jose Sosa, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Another player making a difference was Jason Posluszny, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Riverside always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Riverside pushed their record up to 15-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. As for Scranton Prep, they moved to 7-12 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
