Recap: Providence Cristo Rey Wolves vs. Indiana School for the Deaf Deaf Hoosiers

The Providence Cristo Rey Wolves were the 49-46 winner over the Indiana School for the Deaf Deaf Hoosiers when they last played one another back in February of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. Providence Cristo Rey was the victim of a tough 62-42 defeat at the hands of Indiana School for the Deaf on Thursday.

Indiana School for the Deaf can attribute much of their success to Dylan Puent, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Puent has scored at least 25% of Indiana School for the Deaf's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden DeFalco, who scored 16 points along with six assists and six rebounds.

Providence Cristo Rey's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Indiana School for the Deaf, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Providence Cristo Rey will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Elwood at 7:30 p.m. As for Indiana School for the Deaf, they will head out on the road to face off against Cambridge City Lincoln at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Allowing an average of 52 points per game, Cambridge City Lincoln has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this match.
