Basketball Recap: Toms River North Comes Up Short

Toms River North was the 48-38 winner over Brick Township when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The game between the Toms River North Mariners and the Brick Township Green Dragons didn't end well, with the Toms River North Mariners falling 62-46. While losing is never fun, the Mariners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Green Dragons are ranked 129th).

Toms River North dropped their record down to 5-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Brick Township, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Toms River North didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-50 loss against Manchester Township on the 4th. As for Brick Township, they will head out to face off against Brick Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
