Baseball Recap: Kiowa Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Kiowa finally came back down to earth on Wednesday. They came up short against the Rocky Ford Meloneers, falling 20-2.

Myles Erker was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Thade Montgemery, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Kiowa's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Rocky Ford, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season.

Kiowa wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-6 victory against Evangel Christian Academy on the 5th. As for Rocky Ford, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-8 win against Center on the 8th.
