Volleyball Recap: Mitchell Wins Going Away Against Bayard

There's no place like home for Mitchell, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past Bayard 3-0 on Tuesday. The contest marked Mitchell's most dominant victory of the season.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-5, 25-19.

Reese Sauer paced Mitchell's offense, picking up seven kills. Sauer got some help from Kapri Stover and her 12 assists. Kate Pieper controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Olivia Plasencio and Jayde Mcallister certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Plasencio had 11 digs and one assist, while Mcallister had nine digs.

Mitchell's win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 6-25. As for Bayard, they dropped their record down to 9-15 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Mitchell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bayard, they have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Minatare on the 23rd.
