Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Weimar walked away with it. They never let the Woodsboro Eagles get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won nine matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Weimar has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Woodsboro, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 15 games and leaves them with a 24-4 record.

Weimar will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
