Recap: Cyril Pirates vs. Wilson Eagles
If The Cyril Pirates were feeling good off their 64-36 takedown of the Alex Longhorns last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Cyril fell to Wilson 42-36. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Despite the loss, Cyril saw an underclassman step up: Nash Harman rushed for 164 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also threw for 174 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Lawrence, who picked up 129 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Cyril now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Wilson, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cyril will take on Waurika at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Waurika is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Wilson, they will be playing at home against Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Central is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
