The Three Rivers Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Niles Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Despite their loss, Three Rivers saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Mason Awe, who rushed for 64 yards and one score on only eight carries, and also threw for 69 yards and a pair of touchdowns, was perhaps the best of all. The Wildcats also got a significant boost from Ethan Moreland, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 151 yards.
Three Rivers didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Hunter Koenig.
Meanwhile, Niles put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed past Sturgis to the tune of 48-6. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Vikings' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 51st, while the Trojans are ranked 418th).
Niles' victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Three Rivers, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
Three Rivers took a serious blow against Niles in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, falling 56-6. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Wildcats were down 49-0.
