Soccer Game Preview: Albemarle vs. Gray Stone Day

Albemarle is 0-10 against Gray Stone Day since April of 2022 but things could change on Thursday. The Bulldogs will head out to take on the Knights at 6:00 p.m. Albemarle will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Albemarle is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They came out on top against South Stokes by a score of 3-1. Three seems to be a good number for Albemarle as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

They hit South Stokes with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Karrington Baldwin, Dayana Santos, and Iris Cisneros.

Meanwhile, Gray Stone Day fell victim to Concord and their airtight defense last Monday. They came up short against the Spiders, falling 3-0.

Albemarle's victory bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Gray Stone Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.

Albemarle might still be hurting after the 5-1 loss they got from Gray Stone Day in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
