Softball Recap: Powell Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Powell had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Evangelical Christian on Tuesday. The Panthers blew past the Eagles 12-2. The win was just business as usual for the Panthers, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Powell let Gabby Kraatz and Jaylan Heatherly run wild. Kraatz went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI, while Heatherly went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. What's more, Heatherly posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Mattie Angel, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs.

Powell's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Evangelical Christian, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Powell wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Friendship Christian on the 10th. As for Evangelical Christian, they have also already played their next matchup, a 22-0 defeat against Page on the 10th.
