Basketball Recap: Fullington Academy Takes a Loss

Fullington Academy was the 60-50 winner over Grace Christian Academy when they last played one another on January 7th, but their luck changed this time around. The Fullington Academy Trojans received a blow on Friday as they fell 60-41 to the Grace Christian Academy Cougars. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Fullington Academy lost, don't look at Will Sangster. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. Sangster is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Cutter Tharpe, who posted 12 points.

Fullington Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Grace Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-11.

Fullington Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 62-41 loss against Windsor Academy on the 27th. Grace Christian Academy has also already played their next game, a 69-31 defeat against Southwest Georgia Academy on the 27th.
