Baseball Recap: East Valley Red Devils vs. Othello Huskies
East Valley dropped their record down to 17-3 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They fell 7-2 to the Othello Huskies. The Red Devils were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Huskies' pitchers proved too tough.
As for Othello, their win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games.
For Othello's part, Kal-El Ozuna was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Trey Tovar Iii also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
