Soccer Game Preview: Ukiah vs. Montgomery

Ukiah is 0-8-2 against Montgomery since January of 2016 but things could change on Tuesday. The Ukiah Wildcats will host the Montgomery Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Ukiah's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Ukiah is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Rancho Cotate on Friday. Ukiah fell just short of Rancho Cotate by a score of 1-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Wildcats came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Cougars are ranked 154th).

Meanwhile, Montgomery has been on a difficult stretch since their win on the seventh. They fell just short of Maria Carrillo by a score of 1-0 on Friday.

Ukiah's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2-1. As for Montgomery, they now have a losing record at 3-4-5.
