Volleyball Recap: Greater Atlanta Christian Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Greater Atlanta Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 2-0 to the St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions on Tuesday. If the Spartans were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Golden Lions when the teams met back in August of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Greater Atlanta Christian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21.

St. Pius X Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Coincidentally, Greater Atlanta Christian and St. Pius X Catholic will both be playing Providence Christian Academy the next time they take the court. The Golden Lions will head out to face the Storm at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Spartans will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
