 After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy, Timberlake Christian was happy to have turned things around  on Friday. They walked away with  a   6-1  victory over the Roanoke Valley Christian EAGLES. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest  win Timberlake Christian has managed all season.
  Billy Shumaker was a major factor no matter where he played. He  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. Shumaker was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Adrian Warrick, who  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Woo Kang, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 On Roanoke Valley Christian's side,  Luke Somers was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 3-for-3 with two  triples and a  run.
 Timberlake Christian has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four games,  which provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record  this season. As for Roanoke Valley Christian, they have  not been sharp recently as the team has  lost three of their last four contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record  this season.
 Coincidentally,  the two teams will both be playing Christian Heritage Academy the next time they take the field. Timberlake Christian will  host Christian Heritage Academy at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday, while Roanoke Valley Christian will  host them  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
