With a playoff win on the line, Northwestern Regional rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Lakeview Bobcats with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Highlanders haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

While Northwestern Regional won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-22, 25-12.

Northwestern Regional was led to victory by Madi Landi and Sophie Stanulis. Landi had five aces and three digs, while Stanulis had eight digs and three aces. That's the most aces Stanulis has posted since October 3rd.

They weren't the only good servers: Northwestern Regional was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 26 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Northwestern Regional's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Lakeview, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
