Volleyball Recap: Bloomfield Cardinals vs. Varsity Opponent        
        
		
             Bloomfield waltzed into their matchup  on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past Varsity Opponent 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  victory the Cardinals have posted  against the  since September 11, 2020.
 Bloomfield never let Varsity Opponent on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 26-24,  25-16.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bloomfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Tessa Gwinn, who  had 11  digs, seven  kills,  and six  aces. What's more,  Gwinn also racked up  no  blocks, the mostshe's  had  in her last three  matches.  Nevaeh Doll was another key player,  getting 19  digs and three  kills.
 Bloomfield  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 14  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least ten  aces in six consecutive  contests.
 Bloomfield pushed their record up to 8-13 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home.
 Bloomfield will head out to  take on Leetonia  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Bloomfield is facing Leetonia at the right time seeing as Leetonia is stuck on  an  18-game losing streak. Varsity Opponent has already played their next game,  a  3-1  loss against GVCS Broadfording on the 11th.
