Basketball Recap: Hazen Comes Up Short

Hazen lost against Bottineau back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hazen Bison lost 57-34 to the Bottineau Braves/Stars. While losing is never fun, the Bison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Braves/Stars are ranked 16th).

Hazen's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Bottineau, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hazen will square off against Standing Rock at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bottineau, they will head out on the road to face off against New Town at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
