Basketball Game Recap: Poolesville Falcons vs. Magruder Colonels

The Poolesville Falcons lost against the Magruder Colonels back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Poolesville fell 47-36 to Magruder. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Poolesville has scored all season.

Magruder had a senior duo take command as Aiden Dabbondanza scored 20 points along with five rebounds and Sekou Bangoura scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The contest was Bangoura's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Yannick Mbonda, who scored three points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.

This is the second loss in a row for Poolesville and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Magruder, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Poolesville will take on Rockville at TBD on Friday. Rockville is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Magruder, they will be playing at home against Damascus at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
