Baseball Recap: Hopatcong Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Hopatcong's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Newton Braves on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Chiefs in their meetings with the Braves: they've now lost six in a row.

Hopatcong's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Newton, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-11 record.

Coming up, Hopatcong is taking a road trip to square off against Warren County Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Chiefs are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. Newton will be paying especially close attention to Hopatcong's contest: after Hopatcong faces off against Warren County Tech, they'll take on Newton again at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
