Softball Recap: Morrow Mustangs vs. Lovejoy Wildcats
Morrow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 17-5 to the Lovejoy Wildcats. One positive for the Mustangs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Jada Gadson was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 3-for-3. She also put up a double, which washer first of the season. Cynthia Gadegbeku was another key player, going 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, a double, and an RBI.
Even though they lost, Morrow was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. The last time their batting average was this high was back in September of 2023.
Morrow's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Lovejoy, the victory also got them back to even at 3-3.
Morrow will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Langston Hughes at 6:00 p.m. As for Lovejoy, they will head out to take on McIntosh at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
