It was a good run, but Naples unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Honeoye Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Big Green Machines of the 5-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Theron VanZandt was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Rowan Biggs was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Naples' loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Honeoye, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.

While Naples had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
