Baseball Recap: Pulaski Comes Up Short

After flying high against Sheboygan South last Saturday, Pulaski came back down to earth. The Red Raiders fell just short of the De Pere Redbirds by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Raiders of the 7-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Pulaski saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Molthen, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Bryce Wotruba also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Pulaski's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for De Pere, their record now sits at 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pulaski is set to take on their familiar foe Manitowoc Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Red Raiders 3, the Ships 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, De Pere will face off against rival Green Bay Preble at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
