Goliad had already won 26 in a row and they went ahead and made it 27 on Tuesday. They blew past the Stockdale Brahmas 3-0. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-0 win back in September.

While Goliad won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Stockdale saw an underclassman step up: freshman Calley Yates had 14 assists and six digs.

Goliad's win bumped their record up to 34-3. As for Stockdale, they moved to 30-10 with that defeat, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Goliad has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Nixon-Smiley on the 17th. As for Stockdale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Poth on the 17th.
