Boulder City came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Basic, but Kenny Williams wouldn't allow it. The Wolves greeted the New Year with with a 68-51 win over the Eagles for which the team can thank Williams, who went 9-for-19 en route to 27 points along with five boards and four steals. He has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played.

Despite the loss, Boulder City still got an impressive performance from Levi Randall, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds. Branch Danko was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Basic's victory bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Boulder City, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-6 record.

Looking ahead, Basic will square off against Chaparral at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves will be up against the Cowboys' rather soft defense (which has allowed 63.2 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Boulder City, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 65-31 win against Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas on the 7th.
