Basketball Recap: Swansboro Pirates vs. Croatan Cougars
Swansboro had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 75-60 win over the Croatan Cougars. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while the Cougars are ranked 143rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Swansboro to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tayvion Tangiora, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 19 rebounds.
