Football Recap: Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian Piles Up the Points Against Irvington Preparatory Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 66-0 win over Irvington Preparatory Academy. The high-scoring effort was just what the Braves needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Chip Bennett was his usual excellent self, rushing for 215 yards and three TDs on only 11 carries. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Jackson Goree was another key player, rushing for 56 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 354 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

It was truly a group effort as Adam Albrecht, Adin Adair, Goree, and Bennett picked up one apiece. With that strong performance, Bennett is now averaging an impressive 103.1 rushing yards per game. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

With the victory, Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5. As for Irvington Preparatory Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
