Basketball Recap: Make It 15 in a Row for Grand Meadow

Grand Meadow came tearing into Saturday's contest with 14 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Wabasha-Kellogg Falcons 66-26. The matchup marked the Superlarks' most dominant victory of the season.

Despite the defeat, Wabasha-Kellogg saw an underclassman step up: freshman Annalise Wobbe posted six points and 13 rebounds. Wobbe has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more boards the last nine times she's played.

Grand Meadow's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points per game. As for Wabasha-Kellogg, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grand Meadow will challenge Houston at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Houston is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.9 points per game this season. As for Wabasha-Kellogg, they will square off against Chatfield at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
