Volleyball Recap: Fairfax Lions vs. Woodson Cavaliers

After flying high against Justice on Tuesday, Fairfax came back down to earth. The Lions came up short against the Woodson Cavaliers on Wednesday, falling 3-0. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Cavaliers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Fairfax was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-23, 25-21.

Woodson was led to victory by Livia Lee and Ava Cooke. Lee had 11 digs and two aces, while Cooke had nine digs and two aces. That's the most digs Cooke has posted since back in September of 2024.

Fairfax's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Woodson, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
