Basketball Recap: Valley City Takes a Loss

Valley City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 70-44 to the Wahpeton Huskies. The Hi-Liners lost against the Huskies in their previous head to head back in March of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 47-44 score last time.

Valley City's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-5. As for Wahpeton, they pushed their record up to 6-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Lisbon the next time they take the court. Wahpeton will host Lisbon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Valley City will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on February 4th.
