Connersville is 8-2 against Franklin County since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Connersville Spartans will challenge the Franklin County Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Friday, Connersville ended up a good deal behind Greensburg and lost 59-42.

Despite their defeat, Connersville saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jadan Peterson, who posted ten points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Zander McHenry, who had eight points.

Meanwhile, Franklin County lost 72-51 to Centerville on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 118th).

Franklin County's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Connersville, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Connersville didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Franklin County in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 30-25 win. Will Connersville repeat their success, or does Franklin County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
