Football Recap: St. Paul Lutheran Saints vs. North Shelby Raiders
St. Paul Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-40 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Shelby Raiders. The Saints lost against the Raiders in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 84-22 score last time.

Loss or not, St. Paul Lutheran got some senior leadership from Tate Kreisel and Easton Sheets. Kreisel picked up 161 receiving yards and five TDs, while Sheets threw for 325 yards and six touchdowns. Kreisel is crushing it when it comes to receiving yards: he's posted at least 109 every time he's taken the field this season. Gus Sayre helped Sheets out on the ground, picking up 86 receiving yards and one score.
