Basketball Recap: Cabrillo Comes Up Short

Cabrillo lost against San Luis Obispo back in December of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cabrillo Conquistadores had to suffer through a 63-34 loss at the hands of the San Luis Obispo Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Conquistadores can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 944th, while the Tigers are ranked 103rd).

This is the second loss in a row for Cabrillo and nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for San Luis Obispo, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

When Cabrillo and San Luis Obispo next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Cabrillo will try to stop Atascadero's five-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Similarly, San Luis Obispo will square off against Alisal and their six-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
