Apple Valley has gone 9-1 against Burroughs recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Sun Devils are taking a road trip to square off against the Burros at 3:15 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Apple Valley has six straight victories, Burroughs has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Apple Valley's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-0 win over Hesperia. That's two games straight that the Sun Devils have won by exactly three runs.

The result came thanks to Beau Lloyd's shutout, as he gave up just five hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Isaiah Reveron was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Jaden Padilla was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Burroughs fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Oak Hills on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 13-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Burros have suffered since March 20th.
Colby Bachman was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Burroughs is 6-2 when Bachman posts two or more runs, but 5-7 otherwise.
Apple Valley pushed their record up to 17-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Burroughs, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Apple Valley has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .463. However, it's not like Burroughs struggles in that department as they've averaged .438. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Apple Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Burroughs in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sun Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
