Baseball Recap: Glenbrook South Takes a Loss

Glenbrook South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Maine South Hawks. If the Titans were looking for revenge after losing 7-6 to the Hawks when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jack Stefani was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Clancy Rogers also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Glenbrook South's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Maine South, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season.

While Glenbrook South had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
