Volleyball Recap: Preston Takes a Loss

Preston saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Capital Cougars.

While Preston had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19.

Among those leading the charge was Jada Fruit, who hit 100% for seven kills and three digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last seven contests.

Preston's loss dropped their record down to 9-17-1. As for Capital, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-9-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Preston will venture away from home to square off against Hampshire at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Capital, they will head out to challenge South Charleston at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
